Was wondering if anyone has tried the converter, and where to buy it. I was thinking about putting it in a week or so before having the coolant converted. I'm planning on having a local shop do the swap and am not 100% sure they will get all the old stuff out. I figure if I use the converter first I'm safe.
I had never heard of this converter before.
I have just bought 8 gallons of Final Charge from Wally World and was getting ready to replace all the hoses, T-stat(203*) and add the coolant bypass filter, and replace the serpentine belt as well.
I was planning on first removing the stock T-stat, then draining all the old coolant I could then adding a popular coolant flush solution and distilled water then run/drive for about an hour then drain again, then repete with just the distilled water, then drain one more time and then add the coolant filter, and replace all the hoses, add the 203* T-stat, change belt and add the pre dilluted Final Charge......will I be OK doing it this way or is it absolutely nessessary to use the converter??
