if you completely rebuilt your engine i mean tore it all down and put it back together with new, ignition, new plugs, new fuel pump, rebuilt carb, new battery, new timing gears, re gapped points, and just about every other detail from cleaning the valves, 30 over pistons... my question is that if you did all this and more what would be the things you would check if it wasnt running... it will turn over but wont actually start
the timing is accurate and im getting a spark the fuel pump is pumping gas i disconnected the fuel line and poured it straight into the carb but still no luck...
so i just checked the plugs and they are not wet rechecked timing, regauged breaker points, i have come to the conclusion that it is a carb related problem any ideas or other suggestions?
Dump some gas in the carb and if it starts its the carb thats causing the trouble, If not it is most likly the ignition. You allso mentioned that you replaced the timing gears. Did you make shure you did that right?
