Bed lighting Option... What Do You Think?

While searching for some auxillery reverse lights I found these under rail bed lights. What do you think of them?

I just picked up a set of white neon underbody tubes and mounted them... Actually... one of the shorter tubes just at the front of the bed was enough light under my cover. I took them off though because I didn't like how I had to have them mounted.

I bought a set of 6 marker lights and installed them in the same manner as the recon leds. I didn't use the amber lenses though. I think I spent about 30 for the wiring and lights.

I have the Recon LEDs and I am extremely disappointed.

After mounting the first set, 4 of the eight LED units quit burning.

Recon sent another complete set so I mounted the second set adjacent to the first set.

At any given time, 8 to 15 of the total 16 LED units do not light.

I do not drive the truck daily, but I often turn the lights on when I walk by it to see how many of the LED units light.

It seems that warmer days kill more LED units since more operate in the morning as compared to the afternoon and the truck has not moved.

A buddy of mine has the recon kit, not real bright.

IMO, you'd be better off to buy some cheap lights at the auto parts and mount them in the bed. Bear Hunter did this as well.
