I done a 460efi swap into my 77 and i cant get the motor to want to start except on either. I dont think that theres any fuel going to it though. How can i tell if the injectors are telling for fuel to spray. One additional thing is my MAP sensor i have it hooked up except for the vaccum line cant figure out where its supposd to go i have it hooked up to the hole on top of the valve cover but that didnt make any difference. WOuld the map sensor keep it from running fuel into the injectors. Any help would be great thanks.
The map sensor gets plugged up to one of the intake vacuum ports behind the throttle body. It definitly has an effect on the amount of fuel being used.
You could try unplugging some of your main sensors and see if it will run. If one of your sensors is shorted to ground it won't let your fuel pump run. Try TPS and egr position sensor, also map sensor. If you unplug the bad one it might run, but run bad since its using the stored computer settings instead of actual sensor settings. It would be better to check the stored codes, but you could try it and see.
Well the problem i have is that it wont start at all i dont think that theres any fuel going through the injectors but im getting fuel going through the system. How can i check the injectors to tell if there getting an electic current to tell them to let fuel in the cylinder. Because it fires on either with no problem.
You need a OBD I or II tester (depending on the year of the engine) so you can pull codes, otherwise you are just guessing and EFIs rarely get fixed guessing.
You cant plug in a obd sensor to it you can plug a voltmeter into to pull codes off but it didnt work that well. A freind told me that make a tool you can put on the injector to see if it is getting any power to it when its cranking over i think im going to try that. Thanks

No such thing as an obd sensor; OBD stands for On-Board Diagnostics. And you can plug an OBD code reader into an ECU to read codes and other information. And you can't plug a voltmeter into the computer to read codes (unless you were a brilliant genius and could read superfast changes in current, send proper voltage responses back to the computer, and decode it all - so basically no).

That would work. I believe you can also put a multimeter on the injectors and measure resistance. A factory service manual from the donor truck should be on ebay for not too much money, and would give you tons of diagnostic steps.
