Got bored

Sitting inside with the wife, got bored and noticed a tube of red paint on the counter.
Red paint + Q-Tip + 10 minutes =

So do I read this as fingernail polish? It did turn out quite nice. I wonder why no one has done this already? Good job.

Looks good- I did the same thing with a bottle of Testors silver one time. Cheap and easy to do.

I kinda like the silver idea since that's what color my truck is, but that red sure does look nice.

I was going to do a combo silver/red to make it match the badges on the door but I didn't have any silver around. I have to be honest- up close it doesn't look absolutely perfect, but from more than a foot away you can't see the light/dark spots (which could be fixed by touching up, but I don't care that much).
I have a spare engine cover identical to this one- I'd be willing to paint it up and ship it out to the first person to PM me their shipping address if anyone is interested.

jdecker88 is the lucky winner of the super-trick custom engine cover. You too will now be the envy of all who see your engine compartment

The red looks great! I might have to find some yellow paint to match Pete's cover! On a hi-jack side note......anybody know where I could buy the little rubber covers for the bolts on the engine cover? Mine disapeared a long time ago lol
