My nuts seem to just be dipped in rubber, kinda like tool handles

Man that don't sound too right....

The black cone shaped thing is actually a piece of stamped metal that is semi-attached to a nut inside. I somehow managed to lose one of the black things but there is still a nut on there holding the cover in place. I now have to use 2 different size sockets to remove my cover.

I did that with mine except i only painted the word powerstroke red and the rest silver.

Found them..
They are still on my truck holding down the bracket for my stainless cover, So let me change them out to different ones, And i will send you the factory nuts for the factory cover.
If you'll PM me your mailing address, I will send them to you this week before i leave for vacation.

Jim, go to your gallery and click on any pic to make it big. Then right click on the pic and click on copy. Go to where you want to post and right click in the post and click on past. That easy.
