The black cone shaped thing is actually a piece of stamped metal that is semi-attached to a nut inside. I somehow managed to lose one of the black things but there is still a nut on there holding the cover in place. I now have to use 2 different size sockets to remove my cover.

Found them..
They are still on my truck holding down the bracket for my stainless cover, So let me change them out to different ones, And i will send you the factory nuts for the factory cover.
