yep thats right guys pulled that sucker off this mornin started to rip that stupid foil off. then soaked it to get the glue off and then took a wire brush and gave it a little swirl lookin effect well while i had it off figured i'd do the CCV mod as well! so i get extra pms points for that right? anyway while i pulled the tube off i took a look at the turbo wheel looks great no chips or ruff lookin stuff in there. and i took the other intercooler tube off and cleaned the boots. WOW pretty productive day i figure and i feel great! as always couldna done it right without yall guys
Are you coming by the DFW area anytime soon Scott? I have over half a jug of Sol-U-Strip in my garage that's yours if want it and happen to be up this way...
Is there any high heat issues with removing the foil?
No. The air on that side at the high end of the stock turbo's boost is in the 200* F range. You get more whistle and a cleaner looking engine bay when you do this.
