All you need to do it put in your rails and glass, your door hinges and locks, speakers, door panels and whatever else you have in the original doors. You can't buy "complete" doors.
Putting all the hardware back in isn't that bad. I've never done it before and I was able to do it. It's the hanging and adjusting the doors that are a PITA. I had new NOS doors and it still was a pain. Aftermarket ones may be worse.
The termonolgy can be a pain some times, A door skin means you use your door's inner metal (frame) and replace just the outside sheet metal, covering the original door frame. A shell is the entire door, inner and outer panel but without any of the internal parts like handle, glass ,seals and locks, just a shell. The trouble with aftermarket doors and other parts are the hit and miss fit. Some will fit perfect and some there is no way in hell to get it to fit the way the factory did.
NAPA auto parts also carries them . They have 2 aftermarket classes. CAPA (these are garanteed to fit right) and the regular aftermarket part. Not sure if all parts can be bought CAPA certified but if the door's can be , spend the extra money for them. BIG difference in fit.
most if not all I found from our sponsers are imported. Has anybody tried these? I would really like to have oem doors but can't locate, checked the link above at napa as well. any suggestions? Somebody has to still make oem right?
The imported aftermarket doors are junk. They're really low-grade metal, and they don't fit right. Depending on what part of TX you live in, you may still be able to find some decent used doors in a salvage yard. If not, rust-free doors are readily available in salvage yards in the southwest(AZ, N.Mexico, SoCal).
NOS/OEM doors are not being reproduced by anyone. On occasion you can find some new ones on ebay, but not very often. You best bet, like said above, is to find some rust free ones off another truck.
If you are looking for a 100% accurate repro, don't buy it. Maybe because I grew up around bodyshops, and I'm well used to "nothing ever fitting". I have no issues with it or having to 'work a part' to get it to fit. I'll post some pics soon.
