Cummins conversion

Has anyone done a Cummins conversion?? I have a 2002 Ford Excursion, 7.3 PSD. I have done a lot of mods........but in order to go further (more power), I have the Powered metal rods to worry about. I am already close to 400 RWHP (356), and 860 RW torque. I have a stock fuel system, stock injectors, stock turbo. So, to upgrade the turbo, injectors, fuel system, HPOP, I would be spending another 10-12 thousand. I know this would make my Ford "unpure", but just curious if anyone out there have done it.

How are you getting 356 RWHP and 860 Torque on a stock fuel system , stock turbo, and stock injectors ??

Get on an accurate dyno. You DON'T have 356hp, ESPECIALLY with Banks stuff.

Actually, after doing the math (manually) I am not getting 32mpg! My lie-o-meter is way off. I am averaging 15 in town, and 21 on the freeway. You can believe me or not, I did three runs on a dyno. I have the Banks Intercooler, Banks Big Hoss (set at 120 hp shot), mated with a six gun tuner, Banks Big Head Wastegate, 4" power elbow, compressor wheel, S & B air box, Monster exhaust, transcommand, billett torque converter, 356 RWHP, 860 RW torque

Well, i don't believe you. Get on the same dyno i do, along with everyone el;se and you'll see that you have about 300hp if that, and around 600 lb-ft of torque. Are you sure you weren't reading HP and Torque from your Lie-o-meter?

Ifyou have the dyno graph, can i see it? What was the correction factor? 1.2?

Why did you lose hp 396 to 356 and torque 915 to 860 from this other post to this one ?https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...re-ponies.html
