engine swap

have a 1972 c 750 (ford cab over /26000 gvw / with crane lifting abilty of 10000 lbs 5 ft off) has 391 would like to swap 429 anyone have any information on this subject

The FE and FT a slightly different. The front timing chain crank journel is a different size, not sure on the back. If the engine is mounted using the front timing chain cover it may be an issue, seal. If you are using the side mounts, none of this comes into play. On the 429's you need the flywheel and harmonic ballancer that came on the engine. These are externally balanced. For more info visit the engine thread covering FE & FT's
