One of the main points was explaining to Loca that Ford stands up for American soldiers. It was Henry Ford himself who first supported the disabled from World War I. Sometimes we need reminders when it seems like the world is up against us. All to often it feels like we are climbing that mountain alone, when in reality we are just up against a grain of sand.

Another point was that their brothers and sisters will help. None of us want to ask for help, but if your heading downhill faster than up, something has to give. Sometimes we need reminders that we are in this together. All to often younger soldiers are not taking the time to learn from older veterans about supporting each other.

Just reading the thread shows you who was trying to help and who was spreading hate. That really made me sad, because I think Loca and I would agree that a strategy was already being discussed. Sometimes getting someone to realize they need help is to give them a dose of reality. All to often people start spewing venom and poison, they need reminders that they are in our prayers too.

Interesting. There are three red reps out there, more than I've ever seen before.

I've got news: Now there are only TWO, soon there will be only one, but that one likely deserved.

The other two have been helpful and posted a lot of good stuff even though shoved into the red (one of which by someone I expected it of, who displays poor restraint).

What can be said of someone who continues to help, provide good sound information - even though an embarassing red block is opposite their name? For ELEVEN MONTHS!

I think I would have said: "Hell with this place!" But they stuck around anyway.

That is uncommon FTE stick-to-it-iveness.

THOSE two are in my opinion treasures that we should help!

One of them is jwhitetail. The other is already back in the green. Go look at jwhitetail's post history and you will see what I did.

My own rep add was not enough. I want to see this guy get a fair start all over again!

He's back in the green....or at least a neutral position according to the comment it says.

Excellent - we have done right!

"For that we come just as we are
In doing as we must to seek wisdom
Share what knowlege that we have
Is it right to be stricken? For failing to agree?

I think not - and in proving our own worth
That which we once had be granted again
So that we are known as whom we truly are
Rather than which an spurious one may think of us..."

~Greywolf

We've done it, all is well!

I guess I missed the big blow up, but Loca and her family are still in my prayers. God works His plan in His time and in His way. I did my time under water over 20 years ago, but I still take the time to walk up and shake the hand and offer a "Thanks for serving" to those I see wearing the uniform. And for those of you who have done your duty in years gone by as I have, Thanks for having served......

I helped him out too.

It's nice of you to spend the time to look into their past and try and help them out of a bad situation. Doing that kind of research is above and beyond in my opinion. Too bad I can't rep you too. Have to spread it around first, so we'll just say I owe you one.

I travel plane every 2 weeks. I see a lot of soldiers in the airports. Most are either trying to get hom or shipping out overseas. I have deep respect for our soldiers. Thank all of you that are serving or have served. I tried. I was denied because of health problems.

PS - The answer to the C-130 hellacious ride... NYQUIL! (that is IF you are just on one for the ride - I would NOT recomment Nyquil for those of you jumping out, it could get messy!)
Thanks to all of you who do for our wonderful country and those of you who support those that do.

At ease...
