I know ss will last forever, but how well does the aluminized hold up and is it worth the extra money for ss. I have a 2000 psd and the exhaust still looks like it would last a long time. Not even sure what stock exhaust is made of to be honest.
do u hav the aluminized on ur truck? and if yes how long has it been on there?
Oldgray, if you have stock exhaust on your truck i think it is close to the t-409 ss, it won't keep that shine like t-309 SS. I got the t-409 ss duals because the ss t-309 was to expensive for me. I never herd anything bad about alum. It,s all a matter of choice. Others will chime in here for you. Good luck.
I figure if I am going to replace a factory part, it should be as good or better. I went with stainless mainly because of the chemicals they use on the roads in a Colorado winter.
Hate to thread jack but I think it will fit well, where did you guys get your exhaust from? I've seen some good deals online but not sure who to trust. I was looking at the magnaflow just for the price, any other recommendations? Oh by the way, I live in CA so I'll be getting aluminized steel as there is no salt on the roads or anything like that here.

Do you have that typed out so you can just copy and paste every day when this question pops up???
I paid $400 for my SS Silverline system. There was no reason to get the aluminized when the SS was so close in price. (I am with the guy that said he would want to UPGRADE his exhaust)
Go on eBay and hit the OBO "auctions" You can your stuff there pretty cheap. There were about five guys who bought the Magnaflow setup a week or two ago. I would post a new thread and hunt these guys up. They probably are getting their systems/have them installed by now. This way you can find somem info out about them. (I would like to know, too)
