Supercharger anyone?
Superchargers are sick! I personaly dont have one on my 88 351W ,BUT I was so close to buying one until I bought my 99 Mustang GT. Now I'm gonna put a Turbo in the GT instead. If You do end up with doing it make sure you do your reasearch!! Tune is everything.
Good luck.

Supercharger anyone?
my boyfriend has an 88 mustang 5.0. i don't know the motor size but i do know he bought a Paxton Supercharger he wanted to use on it. After asking around he found out that the 57 in the serial number on the tag meant that it was from 1957. Do you know how true that is? He did put the supercharger on the car but it was blowing some kind of shaving into the motor. (this is what he told me) he first thought it was metal shavings. then he took it apart and can't seem to see what is wrong with it. the guy he bought it off of said it worked but he never actually used it. he was going off of what the person told him that sold it to him.
he really isn't sure where to go with it at this point. a tech from the company was telling him that the housing might not be any good. Can anyone help?

Kenne bell is the way to go if you're not racing. Their kit is a twin screw, and works the nuts. Thats the one i want. www.kennebell.net.
Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

Concerning the paxton, stay away from older ones unless you can verify what the heck they came off of, they were ran on all kinds of different things, Fords, Studebakers(just a few such as a R-13(?) Lark), and the US navy either runs(or did run) a huge version of one on submarines to move air around inside. Some nitwit was actually selling one(Navy unit) on Ebay and was trying to pass it off as a "Giant Race Unit".
So far as an '83 351w goes, not too much available for a carbed windsor anymore. Holley bought the B&M blower line, and It seems the 351w offering was canceled. You might get a vortech or new paxton centrifigal supercharger setup that pressurizes a box that fits on top of your intake(carb is sealed inside)
However, There might be some intake spacers( Don't ask, I cannot remember) somewhere to adapt a 302 Holley 174 powercharger to your motor. I know at one time the spacers were available, I had a customer that wanted to put a 302 tunnel ram on a 351w, I went to order them, but he sold the project before I could do so. If you put a blower on your carbed engine, you will need to get a holley carb that has a boost referenced power valve setup.
Other info available...
And I am more than likely forgetting something...
