I have a 94 f150 302 and long tubes. Shortly after buying the truck i did a SAS (solid axle swap) . My issue is that now the headers are in the way for the front drive shaft. Does any body know of a brand that will hug the engine/trany close enough or will i just have to settle for shorties? Thanks for the help
The shorty headers for a fox Mustang would work if you redo the Y-pipe. They won't mate up to the factory Y-pipe. I have seen it done before, and I think that is all that was an issue.
The Fox shorties dont point down enough. But I have seen people make them work. I have long tubes on my F350, with the solid. I dont have any problems with them. Mine are flowtechs.
swapped a dana 44 out of a 78 bronco and the 8" lift springs. it still has alil squat in the front but didn't know untill after the install either that they are big block springs so it rides like a brick lol. oh well. im not sure what brand the headers r but they rubbed with the original front end in but not to bad. do ur flowtechs hang down below the trans cross member also. mine do and so the pipe was ran really weird over it.
yeah im not sure what the headers are for then. they are kinda pointed down and out. did u just get the basic flowtechs and about how much did they cost?
with the rare 302 boss engine swap in my truck i cant put headers on, my frame rail gets in the way. from my front exhaust port to the back of the frame rail its about 1' 10'' and i dont want to cut my frame

The Boss motor is a pushrod 302 based motor utilizing standard windsor style heads, I don't see why you would have any problems fitting standard 302 truck headers.

Im sorry But you Are WRONG about the "Boss heads" they are not Windsor heads! Windsor heads wish they Could be Compaired to the heads on a REAL BOSS. the heads on a BOSS are 351 CLEAVLAND 4v heads CLOSED chambered. Not trying to be a dick but correcting your error.
