did you lose power or did it stay about the same? a downpipe is mainly for sound, lower EGT's, and helps free up a couple horsepower. it's not a huge gain. you may not have tightened the clamps up well enough and it could be leaking exhaust?

Were you laying on top of the engine when you were replacing the DP? Check the top for any thing that could have come loose or broken. Just adding the DP would not in itself make that type of change.

Did most of it on a lift. Red about the map sensor possibly being clogged. When i punch it takes abit to spool up kinda like its not getting enough fuel.

should spool faster with a dp, maby you got an exaust leak pre turbo or an loose boot from the turbo to the motor causing you to loose boost

Welcome to

The Map sensor lives right above the new DP you just installed. There should be a small rubber hose going to it from the engine. Did you unplug it? or maybe the small rubber line has a crack in it from being disturbed.

This site is bad to the bone. Its great to be part of a group that sticks together by a common thread, Powerstoke. I did check every thing and low and behold the dam hose that comes from the map sensor was sheared of at the intake side fitting. I have awaken a sleeping giant. Thanks fellow powerstrokers!

Check fluid level & condition. Maybe the new found HP has created havoc on your tranny? It may take a while for the PCM to relearn shift pattern. I don't know for sure if our trannies have an adaptive learning statagies like the new ones do.

Still under warranty? Should be...take it back.
