my truck started leaking oil from what looks like the front of the pass head. its hard to tell for sure because of the alt bracket. just curious if there is something behind there that can leak oil and weather it is a common problem?

 

I believe there is a plug for the high pressure oil galley on the end of the head, probably needs a new o-ring.

 

that sounds about right any idea what size of hex key i would need to take it out ?

 

Not off hand, I got my truck all torn apart fixing fuel leaks. I'll take a look and get back to you if I get out to my shop tomorrow.

 

if its engine oil there is a 1/2 square drive plug about 1.5 inch around that plugs the end of the oil galley for the injectors. There is a new design out and come with a new plug and o-ring. Pretty cheap at Ford last time I bought on.
