rear suspension

Just wondering, i have the ole 72 getting closer to driveable again and i was wondering since i have 3 inch dropped i beams on front and 2 inch shackles in the rear the dern thing sits up in the back still quite a bit, my question is can i take the left side front spring hanger and turn it upside down and put it on the right and swap the right side to the left upside down? has anybody ever done this and been successful?

How much room do you have between rearend and frame? Did you already notch it?

I saw one guy that just moved the hangers up and redrilled holes and bolted them back on. Can't recall how close they are to bed, so not sure if he cut them? Or only moved them up a small amount.

I would imagine you can just take lots of measurements and make sure they are both at the same height as one another so the truck sits level. I have been considering doing something similar with my rear suspensionto make it level with the front. Let me know if you do it and it works out. I will be trying it next week maybe and will post pics in the crown vic thread if it works out.
