Help with SCT tuner

I just got my tuner today It is the SCT X3 with just pre-loaded tunes for this week, hope to get custom ones next week on pay day. I have a couple questions since the company we ordered through did not bother to send a manual. I downloaded on off the sctflash website but it did not answer a 1/4 of my questions.

Does it always stay plugged in?

Which one of the regular tunes will get me the best MPG? They are street, tow and preformance.

When we do get the custom tunes who is the best to go through?

If we adjust the tire size will it fix the speedo?

We just have it on preformance right now and I have to say I love the new found speed of the line. Hubby just left for work and he was having fun with it, I think all the neighbors heard him and will now hate us for playing with the
truck at 10:30pm.

Sorry for all the questions, I am just alittle excited about the new toy and a little lost since I am a girl.

Thanks in advance for your answers!!!!!

Cris

congrats on the new toy...i hope you have gauges???.I don't think it stay's plugged in..once programmed you should be able to un plug it..yes changing tire size will correct the Speedo...not sure on the SCT..but with my shift on the fly DP tuner I run 60 tow a lot and it gives better MPG...being a girl has nothing to do with being lost..we where all lost at one point or another..that's what makes FTE so great....have fun with new beast you created..

He tunes the 6.0s with SCT -- it's the only thing listed (besides a gift certificate!!) if you click on the 6.0 in fact.

SCT does not provide a hard manual any longer with the units. There should have been a piece of paper in the plastic box with instructions on how to get the manual off their site.

www.sctflash.com

You don't need to keep it keep it plugged in all the time.

The only vehicles it corrects the speedo for is gassers and 6.0 diesel's. It
does not for the 7.3's.

Cris, I was about to say you are getting a case of PMS. But I don't think that would be right. Good luck with that tuner. Be watching for the change.

Thanks for your responses everyone, I appreciate them a lot. My husband just got home from work and told me he lit the tires up pulling out of the lot this morning. I don't know who is more excited about this. I am going to call DP right now and see what they say. Thanks again
