Vacum Pump
I want to start off saying I am researching somthing for my buddies 1997 and know nothing about them. Ihave a 2003 f350 that I do most my own work on. My buddy has a 1997 f-250 7.3. He has told me his vacumm pump went out. He has one ordered and wants me to install his new one for him. He says its right above the power steering box...Does this sound right? Sound like somthing that goes bad? Anything I need to know before getting into this? Easy install? Any halp would be great, I know nothing about the older 7.3 but have a pretty good idea about my own 2003 7.3...Thanks a lot guys, and thanks FTE for this site to help me help out buddies!

Need to buy or rent a pulley- puller to get the old pulley off. Sometimes autozone or the like will lend them out. Yup above power steering pump. Easy install. Can use a bolt and washer to install the old pulley on new pump.
