This is an old thread (first 3 posts are from 3/26/2008). Then it was dug up yesterday by a that typed bogus info.
D2SW-C is the casting number off the 3rd member (pumpkin), doesn't mean diddly-do because casting numbers are foundry marks, cannot be cross referenced to Ford part numbers.
The casting date code 7M19: December (M) 19, 1977 (7). To identify it without the rear axle ID tag, the rear brake size would have to be known.
1980 Granada/Monarch/Versailles were the last cars to have a 9 inch.
Last year for the 9" in F100: 1983 / F150/Bronco: 1986 / E150: 1987. 8.8" integral rear axle introduced in 1983, 1983/86 F100/150/Bronco could have either.
