mod-ing a dent side
Gentleman (and ladies),
I have been searching for any website regarding info on swapping a mod into a dentside. I don't really want to scroll through months of posts to find a related topic. I have been tossing around the idea of transplanting a 5.4 (fan to tailshaft, computer to oil plug) in my 77 150 (400/C6/203-- oops, I mean no oil psi/very weak/chain's five links too long). I know somebody has had to have done this. Any body have any web links? I can handle the the harness and comp, what I'm looking for is the actual fitment of the engine/tranny/t-case into the truck. Drivelines? running w/o the rear ABS? X-members? What donor truck? I think these mod motors have had 2, 3 and 4 valve heads, can't find any info. This may be my second turbo project after awile, so would I need to swap a car motor in??? ----you ever search for Cobra/dyno/turbo/etc. on youtube, gives me goosebumps.---- Just something I have been tossing around. BTW it's a std cab long box, high pinion 44/9" with 31's and 3.50's. Any ideas... am I crazy????
