dieseling f150
hey everyone I have a 86 f150 with a 300ci L6 and it diesels when I cut it off anyone have this happen to them and how did you fix it ?also it idle at about 1500 and the manual says it should be good at about 800.Carb time? Please let me know.TIA Jason

I would assume you have a 1 BBL carb?
If so, make sure the 2 nuts holding down the carb body are tight. Double check all your vacuum lines for leakers then check the timing. Then reset the curb idle and the "anti diesel" screw on the lower part of the carb, passenger side.
My experince with "dieseling" has always had some timing/carb adjustment fix.
