1989 fuel filter

1989 fuel filter
I need help in locating the fuel filter on my 1989 F250 Diesel. I have looked at the undercarriage and side rails with no luck. The water seperator is on top of the maifold but I cannot find the fuel filter to save my life. Does anyone know where it is at?
