I recently rebuild my holley 4bbl i think it was a 4180 for the first time.lots of respect for all of you who can do it RIGHT. I am having issues with rough idle, back fireing. My floats are adjusted right no idea what my problem is??
If it helps I am running a stock intake with a 2in carb spacer cause the throttle linkage wont fit without the spacer.
This is a link to a 4180 page.
You'll see the powervalve half way down the page, comparing old to new style.
Make sure you have the right type of gasket for your Powervalve.
If your power valve is blown consider installing a protection device such as shown in this link: http://www.powervalveshield.com/ . Several companies make them including Holley and sometimes they show up on Ebay.
