Ignition module

How do I replace the ignition module on my Big Bronco, 5.8? Is there a special tool to remove it or do I need to turn the distributor? If so, how do I do that without messing up the timing?

Thank you.

oh ya, if you need to move the distributor make a mark on it and the block using a fine point sharpie, then just line them back up.

I THINK I remember the distributor mounted ignition module has torx screws. I know the remote (fender mount) is a thin wall deep socket.

Hi,

It's a 1991 EFI. Looks like three screws, one is accessible, the other two are not. Looks like you might have to turn the distributor in order to access.

Have you pulled the the KOEO and continuous memory codes to see if the module is the issue?
