What kind of CPSs are you using? I know that there has been a bunch of trouble with aftermarket ones. Also, when your engine dies, do you lose dash light and gauges? I don't think the IPR would shut one down that cold and it should set a code of it were failing. Have you checked your voltage while running? If something is pulling you voltage down below 10.5v that will shut everything down.
Well I had the dealership switch out the CPS for their "recall" one about a month ago. a few days ago, my truck just died out of the blue and hooked up the Edge Evolution and it showed the CMP (CPS) was bad. I bought a new one at the dealer and that same day my truck died again..twice. I put on another new one and the problem persisted. I hooked up the Edge and nothing showed but the regular KAM error (that is normal when a programmer is hooked up). I hooked up a "real" scanner and nothing showed in the memory either. I installed another CPS from a friend's 7.3 and it did the same thing, this is when I found out the CPS can not be the problem. I have not checked my voltage yet but will do in a few moments. I don't loose dash light sat all when it dies. When I crank it, it does it with no problem but just wont start. I am trying to get a gauge to check and see if there is any cam walk right now.
