7.3 powerstroke dimensions

Does anybody know the weight and dimensions of the 7.3 powerstroke? I have a 56 F-100 and I want to put a powerstroke in it. Thanks Ron

I think the oil pan would be draging on the ground. Not sure, but these engines are very heavy and tall.

Just went out to roughly measure. It will take up a 36" cube. That includes the I.c. tubes and pumps that stick out to the sides.also that is from bottom of pan to top of hpop.and the back of the engine to the front of fan. From what I can see.And all measurements were rough of course.

Obviously you would have to beef up the front suspension also.

It Will take alot of work . But I would Like to try it as I have the 56 and a 1999 powerstroke (the complete truck) to put in it. Dont know whether to use leaf spring suspension or mustang 2 . That 's why I need to know the weight.

Probly gonna need some leaves up front. This engine is way heavier than a big block.

I think there is at least one guy who did this in the Fat Fender section of the forum. Search and you might get some good advice from him.
