'51 spindles

I am trying to find spindles for my 51 F1. Every catalog I look at does not list spindles for any year model. Is there a specific place that might sell them, or am I left to searching lists and swap meets? Thanks.

I am using the stock straight axle.

R U looking for originals?

Here are the last Ford part numbers used (Ford updates p/n's so these numbers may be different than what the original numbers were...but they'll be the same parts).

There are several websites where NOS obsolete parts may be found...I'll take a look.

A8C-3105-A right / A8C-3106-A left / Fit: 1948/52 F1-2-3.

EDIT: Green Sales, Dennis Carpenter, Classic Auto Parts websites: Zero.

Thanks for the offer reg, though that would be one huge shipping bill to get it down to Texas.

Check e-bay. There are tons of guys parting out 51/52s down by you. They usually don't list teh spindles because folks are putting new fron ends in (Mustang II or Volare) but if you see the guys who are selling lots of Ford parts ask them if they have any spindles. Another thought. I have a neighbor who is building a Model T roadster and he says the 51 front ends are what folks are looking for on those. Beats me.

I'm about to pull replace my stock front end with a Mustang II. He came over and offered me $300 for the front end as is.

I'd try e-bay. (actually unless you are adament about it being original like I was, I'd put in a Mustang II front end). I don't think you'll be very happy with your ride and handling with the original front end especially if you are planning on driving above 50 MPH. I was very disappointed.

Good Luck,
Dan

Kerry,

Ive got two '51s parts trucks in my front yard that i bought for mostly sheetmetal only. Make me an reasonable offer, and the better set of spindles is yours.
Im located about a 100 miles north of Houston.

Hey Jeff,

Got a passenger side back fender that's shot that you want to get rid of? All I need is the top front quarter. I'm playing with cutting that part to make an indent for a spare tire carrier and I want to play with one before I get into serious surgery on my good one.

Thanks, Dan

Jeff,

That would be great. I would be very interested. I tried to PM and email you, but it wouldn't let me for some reason. Are they still on the truck or are they already off? How would $30 for the pair be? I would come and pick them up. Are you in Huntsville? Let me know if that is acceptable.

Kerry,
They are still on the truck, Ill go and pull them some time tomorrow or Sunday after work. Im in the Woodville area, off of Hwy 69. $30 will work if you want to come help pull them, or $50 and Ill pull them and get them most of the way to you. Ive got some friends that are coming down here from Houston this weekend, ill check with them but that might save you the drive. They live in Northwest houston area, Cypress I guess you would call it. Not sure whats up with my PM, but its not working either way for me right now. My email is jeffparker@aggienetwork.com. Send me an email with your phone number and Ill give you a call. Dan, send me an email to the same email address. Need to figure out this email/PM problem and would hate to turn this post into my personal swapmeet before I do.

Kerry and Jeff....the PM doesn't work until you have a certain number of posts - 25 or so, if I remember. It's to keep spammers from signing up on the forums, then spamming everyone. Makes sure they are sticking around a while, and contributing, is the way I understand it. So, when you have a few more posts under your belt, you'll be able to PM just fine...

Thought I'd let you know, so you didn't frustrate yourself trying to figure it out...

Hi Kerry,

I don't know if you have been able to hook up with anyone about your spindles. But I just saw a new listing on e-bay tonight for a pair and they have a "buy it now" price of $75. So they could go anytime. If you want to take a look, the item number is 290218396149 Good Luck
