I was thinking the same thing as Abe- if you recess the grill, you'll have to do something with the parking lights also or there will be a gap. Unless you use some type of aftermarket light in the lower valance? Pretty cool modification!

I like it a lot. As someone said, subtle, but oh-so-sweet! Change for the sake of change is wasted - change for the sake of improvement, is great!! And those that know me, know I'm all about "original", but I never would have caught it, probably, but would have noticed something "looked right"...
I'm thinking that grill needs flush LED signal lights from Lamberts....about 1/2 inch tall by 1.5 inches long ending about an inch before the headlight buckets and sitting about 1 inch or so below the definition line near the center (from top to bottom) of the grill. Clear lenses with amber LEDs....

For what it's worth Wayne, the bed goes into the body shop on Saturday, the cab etc hopefully by the end of the month, selling the house and all this moving stuff takes a lot of time. See you in June, in the meantime I keep trying to stay ahead of Randy
I don't want to hijack the thread, but we are moving about 50 miles, neither of us have ever had a new house so we are building one.(attached, three car garage, 28x26) We settle on Apr 30 and will be renting for about 6 mos. We should be project-free in June
