hey guys, i just wanna pick ur brains over here for a while...so i have this '99 F-150 that i wrecked last january. i gave about 6k for it about 2 years ago, but now w/ all the damage, the highest bit for it is only about 600
do you guys think that i can find a good front end that i can do myself for a good enough price as not to make my cheap truck cost me too much to fix? do any of y'all kno of a place or person that perhaps sells front end kits or anything like that? i'm a diesel technician by trade and have a complete shop at home so i'm not scared to do some manual labor on it or to fabricate special parts as i would need them. they engine still runs on mine and i only had liability on her so i just wanna get away as cheaply as possible. any imput is greatly appreciated!
You should be able to get the fenders, hood, bumpers etc from the local salvage yard, but, is there damage to the frame? That might get kind of pricey to fix unless you have access to frame alignment equipment on the cheap.
Have an insurance adjuster come out and write you a detail repair estimate. Then you will have a full idea of what parts you will need. Most are trained to pickup on a bent frame.

From the Pic, it doesn't look like a peel off repair ...
if the frame is tweaked, i'm not all that sure, i'll have to find a guy or shop w/ a frame machine to see for sure, but on the whole, the engine still runs and it still drives. there's no damage to the front suspension at all and about the only real visible damage to the frame is where it pokes out the front bumper, there's a welded bracket there that was snapped off, but i can weld that back on myself. other than that, the only other damage that's not visible in the picture is the radiator and condensor that are smashed beyond repair
I can guarantee you that you will need to spend some time pulling on that truck. The core support, etc.. is obviously bent, pics are hard to tell from but the door gap on the front edge looks uneven. If you can find someone to do the pulling for you at an reasonable rate, you can probably fix it and not be too deep in it. Call around the boneyards and ask for prices on a front takeoff with lights and I assume cooling and see where you are at with those prices before you continue.
Best thing I would think to do is start ripping it apart. You won't know completely what you need until you dig into and find out what all has been tweaked.
