Hello there guys. My rebuild is over and she is up and running. I will post some pictures as soon as i can. I want to thank everybody here , if not for you guys I would have put it in the shop, got rapped, and not known how bad. lol Anyhow I only have one issue to tell about. It has ran a total of about 30 minutes and only driven 8 blocks. It runs good thus far but if I kill it for say 10 minutes then it takes 7-10 seconds to fire back up. If i kill it and start it right back up then it starts on a dime. But if it sits between start-ups then it takes 7-10 seconds. Is this what i've heard of as hpop drain down???? Thanks again guys, Desy
You probably have not run it long enough to purge all of the air out of the high pressure oil system. But to check for drain down, after it has set for 15-20 min. pull the plug on the top of the HPOP and check the oil level. It should be full or within a 1/2 inch of the top.
10 TO 20 miles at highway speeds to purge all air from high pressure rails, until then you must compress all the air (in the high pressure oil rails)with the starter before it will start.
