Inner door handle

Inner door handle
So the cable that goes from the inner drivers door handle to the latch is broken at the handle end. Checked the HELP section at the auto store but there is nothing there to repair this with. Is this going to be a junk yard item? I see how it is attached at the handle side but what about the latch end, is it easier to get the whole assembly latch/cable/door handle?

250 is way out of my price range for this item, think I could get the entire door from the junk yard for that. But lets say I locate the cable (think I've seen them at LMC) how does the cable come off the latch end?

Update: Looked all over and ended up picking up a new cable still in the package from a junk yard, I think they bought up the entire inventory in town. Took about an hour to replace. No speacial tools needed. Hardest part once the door panel was off was cutting away and removing some kind of thin rubber boot that was covering the entire door latch inside the door, the rubber cover was too far damaged to put back on, think it must be have been some kind of dust barrier.
