OK Guys, Ive been reading posts about exhausts for weeks and I need to make a decision. I want the throaty rumble, but not too loud. I do a lot of highway travel and do not want any cabin drone. I'll go with a more quite system if needed to avoid the drone. I've narrowed it down to the Magnaflow, Gibson, MBRP, I like the style of the Gibson sport with the two pipes exiting behind the rear wheel but have read that some say they are too quite. The Mags have the nice system with the two pipes in front of the rear wheel. Has anyone has any experiance with the MAC systems. Any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks Joe

I went with a pretty quite Cherry bomb muffler and I still had drone. It is considered pretty tame but once I hit that overdrive and got around 70mph it would drone. Make sure you ride in someone elses before you have one installed.
Heck I was yanking my travel trailer out of Death Valley today, and my stock muffs were droning. Drove me nuts. (well more nuts than I am now..... er was!)
dude just go with the magnaflow sido straight out the back. sounds f***in good and no drone in the cab. I have a supercrew but i love it. quit when you want itto be but step on it and prepare yourself. AWSOME!!!!!
Hmm...... drone I dont get that with my Super 44 Flowmaster! Ya of course when punching it you hear the exhaust but crusing around city streets and highway travel no drone at all what so ever nothing that will drive you crazy or to loud anyways especially you got to remember you have 4 cats that pretty much kill the sound anyways (assuming you have the 4 stock cats) you want that Throaty rumble dont ya? Hey who wants to floor there gas pedal all the time to here there exhaust because it's too damn quiet? I went from a 50 series because it was to quiet and I was always on the gas to hear my exhaust and in return wasting more gas, now at idle it's throaty rumble on the outside and nice and mellow inside cab, I dont need to hit the gas hard to hear it just barely and it's rumbling, Iam happy with it. I was afraid of this so-called drone as well and got the quiet 50 series Flowmaster started it up and was disappointed, got the Super 44 put on and I smiled and grinned when first started it up. Have fun with it see if you can hear different ones on your truck.
Well I decided on the Magnaflow after researching and reading all the replies. I found the best price anywhere for the #16616 SI/DO in front of rear wheel from Wholesale Performance Exhaust on E-Bay $475.00 including shipping!
OK Guys the new Magnaflow arriv4ed yesterday. I installed it last night in about an hour and a half. The sound is exactly what I wanted. Nice and low with a throaty rumble but not too loud. The Magnaflow 16616 looks and sounds great! Thanks for all of the advice!
