shedding the shackles of smog
hi i have a 93 ford fuel injected 302. i am installing it into a 65 ford pickup.
coming from my 150horse 240-6 i think that there are a couple to many parts hanging off of it. so i'm told that by taking the smog control stuff off i can get more horse power(and it will look beter) if so which parts can i take off. which do i have to leave on, and how through all this do i please the computer?
thanks in advance

If you want real HP gains with the stock 302EFI upgrade the cam and install longtube headers, and just make sure the O2 sensor is installed in or near the header collector on the passenger side. This is an idiot proof way to get close to 300hp from this motor.. as long as you select a cam that is compatable with the speed density batch fire efi system.
