so what ur saying is the truck runs even with key off??? I only say that cause u say it still sparks, and that would sound like ign switch or the rods goin to it
No. He said "Also with key on engine off I am getting continues spark could this also be part of the problem."
He should have spark with the key on and the fuel pump should prime but not run continously. This is why I suspect the relay. Quicklook does make a good point on the computer but as he says, it is best to check the other possible causes first.
check the pump relay and the f/r tank switch-had a similar problem on my 1990-pump ran all the time-it was a bad switch/relay changed them both at the same time-should have done 1 at a time-but it was cold and late-had to get it going
I purchased a new relay and installed it. The truck would prime the fuel pumps and start up but it immediatly cut back out, then the fuel pumps would not prime at all. Quick Look I read the post's from DJdemon and it sounds like he had a lot of the same problems I am expierencing. I am going to try another computer from a 1989 F-150 to see if will fix my problems if it does I will be going to purchase a new EEC. Where would you recommend buying one?

if it were me i would try junk yards 1st-if no luck price them by calling around-I have all the local parts stores on speed dial -amazing the difference in prices sometimes-make sure to give them all the info from truck and original part number
