You can still buy the original turn signal switch from Ford.
C9TZ-13341-C .. T/S Switch / Fits all 1967/68 F100/350's and 1969's before serial # G30,001.
Ford suggested retail price: $61.98 / FTE member cost: $43.81 / FTE sponsor > > ftepartsguy.com < <
btw: There are TWO turn signal flashers behind the dash...one for the turn signals, the other for the emergency flashers.
that looks like what im goin 2 do, i just thought the chromb external would look cool with the way im goin with the int. alum. diamond plate head liner, door pannels ,guage cluster, floor mats.THANKS 4 all the info....ill order 1 here shortly because ive slept on it now and stock is the way ill go.
If you happen to have them random or not work after the new switch, check the grounds at each location. These get corroded over time. If yours just don't blink try change the flasher unit. There are 2, haz and turn. The one you want is on the drivers side of the instrument panel, if my memory is any good.

The flashers will work either way, the plugs are the same.
The hazard flasher is a heavyduty unit, so if used for the turn signals, will be louder....
...so there's less chance of drivin' down the road with one of the turn signals left on.
if i understand it right the heavy duty one is the one i need 2 use when i pull my boat.it sends a stronger signal 2 the tlr.right?
That's correct, the heavy duty flasher for trailer towing is the same one used for the emergency flashers.
Either way, both the H/D emergency/trailer towing and the turn signal flashers flashers are interchangeable.
Both are identical in appearance and have the same two male plug spade connectors.
I have the H/D flashers in both my '63 Galaxies and F100, because my right ear is deaf as a post. The loud CLICK CLICK CLICK helps when one is hard of hearing.
BTW: WEAR ear protection when shootin' them BIG bore guns.
Not wearing ear protection for 30 + yrs is what caused my hearing loss.
Be warned these old fords have under sized wiring. So pull extra load is not good. You can get by with one extra bulb (brake/tail), but more than that you asking for trouble. I use a system that pull directly from the battery, triggered by the turn signal.

I think Ford planned for that contingency, here's what the 1964/72 (and later) parts catalogs sez:
D1FZ-13350-A .. H/D 12V Turn Signal Flasher (Motorcraft SF-552-B)
Use for emergency flashers, trailer towing and/or camper coach.
May be substituted for the T/S flasher for other applications.
Here's the other flasher that's listed, and what the catalog sez:
DOAZ-13350-C .. T/S Flasher (Motorcraft SF-228-S)
Not used for emergency warning lamps and/or camper coach or trailer towing.
The H/D flasher could be substituted for the standard turn signal flasher, but Ford advised not using the standard T/S flasher for the other applications.

Remember what I mentioned about wearing ear protection when shooting?
I see the Browning Buck Mark decal on your back window.
You don't wanna go deaf by the time you're 40.
Without using ear protection, that's what happened to me.
