normal EGT's

early 99 f350 4x4 CC 35's level/lift 6637 5" SP rebuilt trans/Billet TC, NEW ISSPRO GAUGES 4 pillar pod...are EGT's in the 900 range normal while gettin on it without a chip?

I hope that was 900* and not 9000* because you don't have an engine left. But I think 900* to be quite acceptable getting on it with no chip .

900* pre turbo is actually very good. Crusin around with my heavy 35's and my stock gearing, it runs the EGTs up and they stay up above 650-700 unless im coasting. I was accelerating mildly up a moderate grade in OD from 45-60 last night in 80e, (1250rpm to 1600) and i looked up and by the top my egt was passing 1200*.

yes pre-turbo and 3:73 LS....that's what concerns me as tuner is next. What else is there to lower EGT'S?

So I am not imagining things!

Ever since puting my big tires on I have thought my EGTs were higher when digging out under load.

Good to know.
