i have a 88 bronco 2 that had a 2.9 with a a4ld transmission the motor caught on fire one day burnt most everything plastic under the hood including most of the wiring harness i figured the easiest way to get it running would be to put a carburated motor in it whitch i got from a friend who had a ranger with a busted tranny i swaped the motors no prob but now it changes gears way to quickly and has no overdrive any help would be great the only thing i can come up with is to change the tranny
