Engine knock sound

Okay, as I am still new to these deisels I have a question. My truck sounds like it has a rod knock. At least that's what it sounds like to me. Is this a normal sound? It has been to the dealer twice for other things and nothing has ever been mentioned about it. So I assumed it was normal. IT has had it ever since I bought it with 39K miles on it. It has 58k now. Might be a normal engine sound.I have a 99 250 with the 7.3 and a 2000 F-150 .after driving the F-150 for a few days I hear all kind of weird noises in my stroker.
