Up pipe problems

Decided to change up pipe gaskets today. What a pain to get those clamps off. 2001 7.3 is what I am working on. Picked up all my parts early this week so I would be prepared for today.

Problem 1- I bought the Fel-pro gasket 8194 and I cannot get them to set good.

They are loose and the bolts are not even close to being tight and seated.

What other gasket wil fit or am I not doing something right.

Problem 2- the EBPV is leaking at shaft on the turbo and oil is coming out of the actuator on the pedestal.

Can I delete the EBPV? If so what do I need to do so.

Appreciate any helpful thoughts.

I dont know much about the up pipe gaskets, other then beans diesel sells "leak proof" gaskets (http://www.beansdieselperformance.com/) I dont think they are on his site, youd probably have to call. Me, i got black widows bellowed uppies on mine.

The ebpv can be deleted, i got the turbonetics high flow outlet and non ebpv pedistal (http://www.shop.blackwidowdiesel.com...&productId=251) Theres the link for the HFO, works good, been on there since last summer, also got the non ebpv from them. That would take care of both the leaking pedistal, and the valve. If you got rid of the pedistal, and left the valve in there, it will default open, and stay there, so its not necesary, just a bonus. I had no trouble starting my truck this winter, seeing below 0F overnight, and starting it everyday (DD). Besides one day it gelled up. Hopefully that gets you started.
