Gauges

I will be junking my Edge and going with a DP, sooner than later hopefully! I was wondering if anybody made a small tac with a shift light that would fit in the A pillar pods, that had a shift light? Also that would match with pyro and boost gauges.
I figure thats probably asking alot but thats the only thing I'll miss about my edge evo!

I have had many standards in my time. I never needed to have a computer to tell me when to shift. You have a tac on your truck, use it, if you can't go by ear. The DP will be way nicer to your truck and trans.

I would like to know what you have in mind for the ZOODAD. When you get that done, post pics.

Have a good time with this.

Ya maybe the only two frickin gauges that work on these trucks is the Tac and speed. (Fuel fluctuates terribly, Tranny is burned up by the time the gauge shows red,and so on and so on) Alot of people never even look at the tac and, like rick said, shift by ear.

You don't need a shift light thats only for little ricer punks that can't figure it out them selves. In the 97 I just go by ear is the easiest thing to do instead of looking at the tac. Joe that is the dang truth about the fuel gauge, thats bad when I drove 40 miles and my fuel gauge will go up sometimes lol.

Well, I don't think it's retarded that the float goes up & down when you park on a hill -- that's gravity.

But it is weird that it would go up a bit after driving two or three gallons worth of fuel out of it. Here's something that has me baffled to this day: After I did my in tank mods (and this was after I already had a tank of fuel through it!!), my wife filled it up and the gauge was stuck on empty. But it slowly went up every time I started it until it got to around the full mark. I did nothing to fix it and it hasn't done it since.

Drove 160 miles, showed that i had only used 1/8 of a tank (ya right). Turned it off and about half hour later restarted and it went to below 3/4 of a tank. Then while driving dipped to 1/2 and then went slowly back to 3/4..lol uhh

Hey izzy. Mine does that once and a while, i,m wondering if it,s because of topping it off, that the float gets stuck. I don't have any in tank mods.

I like the tac on the edge because I set it to go off at 2850 and thats way before the rev limiter cuts in. Me personally I like it that way. I was under the impression that you could set the shift light to go off when you wanted it, not by computer. The reason for this is because I didnt know if the DP still keep the rev limiter or not. Guess I shouldve asked that first. I also wanted it so when I pull up to the light beside one of the little ricer punks with his fart pipe I can give him a run for his money(after I get rid of this junk edge and get a DP and some other things) HAHA! Oh yeah my fuel gauge is nuts too! Cant get my pics to post of my zoodad!
