2008 Summer Olympics

So far it has not peaked my interest, but that could change as it nears.

Anyone planning on watching the 2008 Summer Olympics?

I'm not. China can kiss my foot! (Harbor Freight, notwithstanding.)

NO!

The Olympics are just something I don't care to pay any attention to.

I think the REAL interesting part of the summer olympics will be the protesters and the eventual "Heavy Handed" way the ChiComs attempt to handle it.

LOTS of You Tube fodder there!

I have a couple of cousins going this summer. They asked me if I wanted to go. I told them if I was going to spend that much to go somewhere it was not going to be China and it would not be with 6 billion people.

I try to watch the opening ceremony if I'm at home, but other than that it doesn't really interest me.

It was a lot more 'fun' when we had the big-bad boogeyman in the form of the "USSR" to compete against!!!.......

I'm old enough (barely!) to remember the '72 Olympics......I distinctly remember, during a family camping trip, and watching on the 2-channel TV, coverage about the Israeli athletes getting kidnapped at Munich........I was 8.

But man! Playing those 'red' army bast--ds at hockey, or basketball......Awesome!!!

I only watch winter Olympics now.

They are much more interesting.

In 2010, they are introducing "Full Contact Curling" and Human Moving Target Biathlon

i agree.

my opinion is when they set their sites on taking the nationalism out of the games, it kind of got a lot less interesting.

i remember one of the winter olympic games (did they have it in 1990?) in school and we all watched the hockey games during class. it got pretty crazy and was fun.
