Transmission Fluid

Question:

Is the transmission fluid in a 1996 Ford Transmission the same as the fluid they would use in a 2008 Ford Transmission.

NO! Well, are you talking auto or manual? If auto, you want to use Mercon V. If manual, I don't know! The 6 speed auto's (new) use SP - a Ford product.

The real answer is maybe. It depends on which transmission you're asking about.
