What part is this, need help

My truck wouldn't start today because of a problem with my battery and its terminals, and upon pushing it outside i found there was a puddle on the front of my block. I put my finger under a part that i thought was the culprit for the leak, and sure enough it was. I need to know what it is. To describe it, a thick house from the radiator connects to it, and if your facing the engine, is up and to the left of the water pump. I need to get this fixed. What part is this? Thanks in advance.

Thats the thermostat housing.

Could be the hose leaking, bypass hose leaking (assuming you have a v-8 its the small hose) or the housing gasket itself leaking.

It could also be leaking up thru the timing cover gasket (again assuming its a v-8.)

sorry i forgot to specify, its a 351. AFter I posted and thought for a while i started to think it was the thermostat, but now i know, thanks. I'm assuming its the gasket, cause its wet with coolant underneath, and not leaking from the hose. Shouldn't be too hard, no? Thanks for the reply
