brake clicking noise

I have a 96 ford f-350 with a powerstroke. When driving the brakes make a noise under the dash that is a clicking sound like a switch. I disconceted the abs unit and grounded the wire as instructed by a repair manual. The light flashed 16 times and the code was all ok. I have replaced the sensor in the rear end to see if this would help with the other problem of the speedometer bouncing. The brakes work fine but sometimes I get a hard pedal but they still work. Also it sometimes has a pedal that pluses like a warped rotor.

Sounds like the caliper is loose.

Are you sure it's coming from under the dash? If the noise stops when you apply the brakes, it's more than likely a missing anti-rattle clip on one of the calipers.

I have the same problem! Although we have replaced some of the pins or tried to use the old pins. This seems to work for a little while but the problem keeps comming back. Any other ideas that have worked?
