Exhaust help

What is the best exhaust for 2003 7.3 Excursion? Where to get it? Has anyone just changed the muffler?

I also have a 2003X w/7.3.

After LOTS of looking I ordered the silverline FS102409 SS system from MKO power. Give them a call, they can hook you up with a great price.

Why silverline? Great sound, comes with a tip, nice fit and finish.

Lots of folks also like the MBRP system. MKO has those too and from what I can tell will beat everyone prices.

If you are looking for a cheaper route, search the forum for Walker BTM.

This is a muffler you can get from Napa and with a little work you can replace your stock muffler for a little better performance.

I went with the entire 4" system.

I was thinking about getting a 250 or 350 diesel for a work truck. IF i get the truck, id put an exhaust on it. I have looked at alot of video clips and found the MBRP sounds the best.

I did the 4" Magnaflow SS system with the 3.5" downpipe. I have a real bad drone problem at about 1500RPM. I did some research and found this to be a common problem. I installed another Magnaflow muffler in front of the other. The sound is quieter but the drone is worse. I would stay away from Magnaflow for the Excursion for this reason. I am going to try the AeroTurbine Mufflers. The MPRP seams to be the best choice. One note is that I did pick up alot of torque with the new exhaust. Good Luck!
