1998 F150 Electrical problem---need help

a good ckeck to start out with is key off and nothing on door closed ect. Now disconect the neg cable ,wait about 10 sec and reconnect and watch for any kind of spark. If not then do the same with the pos. If you see a spark on the pos side start looking for any hot wire that is grounding out. You can connect again (on a cold engine) and feel along the wiring. Look for anything that has heat or warms up. You can find a short tester at most auto shops. With this you can just run it along the wires.
