Failed CA Emissions (Part 2)
Turns out the reason it failed was because of a new POS test California decided to impliment last December the Low Preasure Fuel Evap Test, and of course I failed it. The kicker is it would have passed easily had it not been for this new test because the ASM Emissions Test Results were all normal as far as that goes it passed with flying colors but because of this new stupid evap test I now have to possibly get a temp from the DMV and wrench on this thing until I fix that problem and then retest it

The good news is only the Evap Control System is involved here, the bad news is the problem could be anywhere in the system from the Tank to the Carburetor, I just hope it's not the damn Vapor Seperator Assembly because that would require me dropping the tank something I have never had to do before.
I should point out that many years ago (before we bought the van in 94) it once had two tanks, one was removed to make room for the Liftgate and sunken floor. I was told maybe it's possible that job wasn't done right.
Fixing the problem i'm not worried about the challenge for me will be finding it, the guy at the Test station got under there and tried to see if he could spot the problem and tell me what I need to fix but unfortunatley he didn't see anything, the system says it's a Gross Leak so finding it hopefully won't be too hard... Anyway sorry to turn this post into a small book
the vehicle specs are as follows..Year: 1985
Model: E150 Club Wagon XLT
Engine ( 302 V8, (2 bbl Carburetor of course))
I'm wondering if anybody else on here has run into this problem with this new mandated smog test (which btw costs extra.. freakin rip off if you ask me), and if so what did you do to fix it? I didn't have time to do a search of the board.
I'll likely end up replacing all the hoses in the system in hopes I eliminate the problem so I can get this bucket registered.
