96 E350 towing package

Hi, I went to hook up a tow bar and found the trailer harness was dead, I tracked that down to the 30 amp fuse in the power distrobution box, its being blown was caused by the wiring being frayed at the drawbar plug.
So that works now.

I think this is a factory towing package the original owner ordered , its on the original Ford window sticker I found in the paperwork.
Supposedly it includes a 12v output to charge boat (or camper) batteries whilst driving. Where would the wiring for that be located?
Is it part of the trailer harness?
How do you tap into it?

Believe there were 2 levels of "factory towing package". Most were basic 4 wire setups that did not include "a 12v output to charge boat (or camper) batteries". These were meant to connect the simple flat 4 wire plugs.

A heavy duty towing package included a bank of 3 extra relays by the driverside headlight. These connect to a plug that is capped attached to radiator support. The "12v output" was intended for breakaway brake systems. There is also a plug on the steering column, under the dash, to add a brake controller. At rear there's a plug tied to the frame on the driver's side to use to connect the pigtail to the hitch socket. I'm not sure which year FORD adopted the standard big round black plastic 7 pin RV trailer plug/socket. My '92 had a pigtail that you plugged into the harness & connected your own socket, while my '98 had a FORD issue 7 pin RV plug on the pigtail & was plug & play.
