Well, I wanted to replace the O-Rings on my IPR and clean it tonight since my truck has been idling a little rough and acting a little wierd (all the symptoms pointed to try maintenance on the IPR). I took it out, followed these directions (http://cw-diesel.com/LuxSite/IPRInfo.htm), put it back in, and now it won't start. I originally forgot to fill the HPOP Res. I checked it after a bunch of cranking and it was full, but my truck still won't start. I hooked up my Auto Enginuity and I am only getting 160 PSI ICP Pressure. I also saw that when it was cranking I was only getting 10.3-10.6V. I currently have the battery charger on it right now, but am a little worried. Any insight would be a very big relief! Thank you guys in advance.
I tried starting with a full charge, and nothing. My HPOP Res if full. My IPR is screwed in tight. Did I put the IPR back together wrong? That was the only think I messed with. Please help. I don't have a ride to work tomorrow, and I don't have a truck today. Has anyone ever taken the IPR apart before? Please help me. I am very frusturated right now.
Actually, when I was putting the IPR valve back together, I didn't tighten it enough. It was the part that needed to be taken out with the pipe wrench. I only snugged it up after I tightened it with my fingers. When in all actuality you need to turn it between one and two more turns after you get it tight by hand. After that it started up like there was no problem. Thanks for the help.
It seems to be a little bit smoother and nicer, but it is kind of hard for me to tell (ie remember exactly how it ran before). All in all it seems to be a little smoother. I am happy with it.
